Hardwood Installation & Finish

We specialize in installation of solid and engineered hardwood floors. We install custom patterns, borders and logos.  

Species we install include, but is not limited to: Red & white oak, maple, walnut, cherry, hickory, and pine. We install and finish reclaimed wood as well.

We are experienced in assessing and fixing water damaged floors. 

We also provide custom sand & finish, hand scrape, both with the grain and cross grain, as well as other finish techniques. Our flooring experts can help you pick the best finish for your floors.

We are skilled in using a variety of staining techniques to best achieve your dream floor. We can custom mix colors to find the perfect fit for your home. Our estimator will also work with you to determine the best type of sealer for your floors.

We will work collaboratively with you from start to finish to help you select and design the best floor for your home & family.

Brick & Concrete

We offer services to maintain brick and concrete floors. We also restore brick floors and stain concrete floors.

We use Duraseal stain on brick, and offer different sealer options depending on your desired outcome.

We stain concrete with Kemiko stains. We also offer different sealer options for concrete, depending on the design and location of the concrete.

Routine Maintenance  

We believe maintaining your hardwoods is vital in prolonging the life of the wood. Floors are and should be lived on. Danny, the original owner of Specialty Hardwood, had hardwoods in his home and raised two children on them. Lydia, the current owner, grew up learning to ride her bike and roller skate on the hardwood floors. Danny kept up his routine maintenance and did not have to refinish the floors the whole time his children grew up.

Our floors often get a beating, kids and grandkids roll toy cars on them, our pets play on them, and friends and families may make messes. We know you want your floors to look beautiful and we want to help you maintain your floors.
